My Story

Hey, I’m Liam! Welcome to clicksinbound.com.

I remember the day I decided to take the plunge and move from the UK to Dubai in 2012. I was only 21 years old at the time, but I was hungry for adventure and eager to sink my teeth into the world of international SEO. After all, I’d just spent 18 months learning the ropes at a small but rapidly growing UK agency.

I’d landed a job helping to launch a brand new SEO company in Dubai and I coudln’t wait to get started! Over the next two years, I threw myself into the work, learning everything I could and watching as the agency grew into one of the leading digital marketing firms in the UAE. It was an amazing time, filled with long hours, steep learning curves, and the thrill of seeing our hard work pay off.

But as fulfilling as that experience was, I knew deep down that I wanted something more. I wanted to be my own boss, to chart my own course, and to build something that was truly my own. So in 2014, I made the decision to leave the agency and launch my own boutique SEO firm.

Starting my own business was equal parts terrifying and exhilarating. I had to wear so many hats – from sales and marketing to client management and service delivery. But I loved the challenge of it all. Over the next six years, I worked tirelessly to grow my agency, taking on clients like Huda Beauty and Bridgestone and helping them to achieve remarkable results through our SEO strategies.

Throughout this time, my wife and I were also blessed with the arrival of our beautiful daughter. As any parent knows, that changes everything. Suddenly, my priorities shifted. I wanted to be closer to our families back in the UK, to give our daughter the chance to grow up surrounded by her grandparents and cousins.

So in 2019, we decided to move back home. It was a big change, but one that felt right for our family. In 2022 I took on a new role in the award-winning SEO team at Wavemaker UK, where I now get to apply my 10+ years of experience in SEO strategy and content marketing to help drive results for clients like TalkTalk, BoyleSports, Heathrow Airport, and more.

Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my deep passion for technology – especially when it can be used within the SEO process to make outputs better, faster or both! I love staying on the cutting edge of the latest trends and developments, constantly learning and adapting my team’s approach to ensure we’re delivering the best possible results for our clients.

But it’s not all work and no play! In my free time, you’ll find me geeking out on the latest longevity research, hitting the gym to stay fit and active, or spending quality time with my wife and daughter. They are my world, and I’m grateful every day for the life we’ve built together.
